APRIL BOYD
April Boyd is the Vice President of Global Government Affairs and Public Policy at Spotify, one of the world’s most popular audio streaming subscription services available in over 180 markets.
April joined Spotify from Yahoo, where she was Vice President & Global Head, Public Policy and ESG, with global responsibility for government relations; environmental, social, and governance strategy and reporting; and human rights.
Prior to her leadership roles in the internet industry, April had a distinguished career in government. She served in two U.S. Administrations, including being nominated by President Barack Obama and unanimously confirmed by the Senate as Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs. She also spent eight years as a senior staff member in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.
April was recently named by Washingtonian magazine as one of Washington, D.C.’s Most Influential People of 2023. She also serves on the Advisory Council of GlobalWIN, the Women’s Innovation Network.
