Responsible consumption and production is one of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) that need to be achieved at global level by 2030. The EU is a main player on SDG policy mainstreaming, and leads the way on Circular Economy. In the US a number of cities and states are voluntarily committing themselves to sustainability. In Texas the cities of Austin and Houston have already ongoing commitments to address waste flows in a sustainable manner. The panel will present initiatives from both the EU and the US and showcase concrete examples of how businesses and citizens can make the difference and produce/live sustainably.
