Add to My Calendar 14/03/20 2:30 PM 14/03/20 3:30 PM Central Standard Time Germany – Towards a Data Economy: Is there an European Way?

The ongoing datafication of the economy is changing the balance of power between economic blocks as well as the distribution of value creation within markets. In this transition, the EU aims to secure the European model of fair competition, an equitable society and a mixed economy, in which small and medium-sized enterprises as well as cooperatives play an important role. This panel will discuss how exactly datafication is altering economic structures globally and how Europe can promote its economic and social model in the age of data. In particular, the panel will debate models of data governance, e.g. data sharing in data-driven markets, as well as cooperative data business models.
