Now that everything from your car to your toothbrush can have an internet connection, it’s clear that our dependence on interconnected technology is far outpacing our ability to secure it. But how do we reconcile the competing consumer demands for technological convenience and personal security? And the nature of the web and the global supply chain means that isolationist policies will always fall short, and cooperative international action is needed to combat these vulnerabilities. And government today cannot anticipate the needs or threats of tomorrow, how can governments work together with eachother and industry to combat the cybersecurity challenges of the Internet of Things?
