Founded in 2002 as a spin off from the Psychology Department at Goldsmiths University of London, i2 media research conducts research and development to make digital products and services better, with clients and partners from the commercial, public and 3rd sectors, in the EU and US. They are delighted to bring to SXSW18 two of their key product and service lines which have been supported in their development by a combination of EU collaborative R&D funding, commercial funding, our own R&D and Innovate UK funding:
Immersive UX Evaluation is their new service for VR/AR/MR content developers, producers and funders. They first focused on developing reliable and actionable tools to measure immersive UX in 1996. In 2001 they published the ITC-Sense of Presence Inventory – now in use under license in over 500 academic and commercial labs worldwide. And 20+ years later, they are delighted to be sharing the latest developments in their immersive UX evaluation methods, including some hot off the press from their recent R&D collaboration with Nesta, for the UK’s Digital Catapult.
Flashy is their new Connected Retail platform and service. The patented solution provides retailers with rich insight on consumers’ natural behaviours in-store, and gives shoppers the functions they are used to from online retail experiences – passive browse histories and personalised recommendations and offers. Peracton Ltd (Ireland)
Peracton is a spin-out from National University of Ireland, Galway.
Funded by Enterprise Ireland, the country’s investment and development agency, Peracton’s mission is to develop and exploit advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to build, improve, test and execute complex investment and trading algorithms. Full automation, combined with AI technologies, are imperative since the human brain, excel spreadsheet or fixed constraints models just can’t handle the financial data volumes and volatility of the markets.
The company has developed a financial analytics platform called PERACTON in order to support human professional investors and traders compete on financial markets, in a world where the overwhelming majority of securities are transacted by computer algorithms.
Although the company’s primary focus is on the financial services domain, some of our technologies are currently being prototyped in Clinical Data Analysis, Cyber-Security and Robotics.
Realeyes – Emotional Intelligence (United Kingdom, Hungary, Estonia)

Their smart reporting enables brands, agencies and media companies to confidently target optimized content to the right audiences like never before.
